Turmeric Keto Bread (Low Carb, Paleo, Gluten Free & Yeast Free)

Do you get bloated or gain weight after eating normal bread? Join the club! I get bloated, fatigue, and alternating constipation and diarrhea if I eat any food that contains gluten :(

Since embarking the gluten free diet 8 years ago, I have been trying different ways to make gluten free breads but none of them was as soft as the Turmeric Keto Bread.

Studies showed that turmeric has many health benefits including preventing cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, improving depression, and arthritis.[1]

Turmeric Keto Bread (Low Carb, Paleo, Gluten Free & Yeast Free)

  • 1¼ cups almond flour
  • 5 tbsp ground psyllium husk powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Bring the water to a boil. Add apple cider vinegar and eggs to the bowl. Mix it with a hand mixer for about 30 seconds to get a Play-Doh consistency. Don't over mix the dough.
  3. Moisten hands with oil and make 6 pieces of the dough. Sprinkle some sesame or poppy seeds on top.
  4. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake on lower rack in the oven for 50–60 minutes, depending on the size of your bread.
  5. Turn the bun upside down, tap the bottom of the bun. If you hear a hollow sound, then it’s done! If you’re new to this technique, try doing this every 5 minutes toward the end of baking and you’ll hear how the sound changes.[1]
